Q: How do vacuum travel bags work?

A: Vacuum travel packing bags are space-saving bags designed to maximise luggage space. You place your clothes inside, seal the bag, and remove the air with a pump or by rolling it, reducing volume. They help travellers pack more efficiently and keep items organised. Please refer to our user manual for detailed instructions on how to use Jaspacks

 

Q: Do I need a pump to use Jaspacks?

Not necessarily: you can remove the air just pressing the bag, but we recommend using our compact travel pump for a better result:  it’s small, light, practical and can be recharged with a USB-C cable. 

 

Q: How much space can vacuum bags save in a suitcase?
A: It depends on what you pack. Fluffy clothes like jackets and jumpers compress up to 80%. Tighter fabrics like denim compress around 20%. A full bag can shrink from 15cm to 5cm thick.

 

Q: Can Jaspacks vacuum bags be reused?

A: Absolutely. Built to last trip after trip our packing bags are designed to be reused multiple times, made from durable, high-quality materials that can withstand repeated compression.

 

Q: What sizes do you offer?

A: There are currently 2 sizes available: Small 30 x 25 x 12 cm and Large 40 x 30 x 12 cm. You can check our Size Guide for exact dimensions and what fits in each.

 

Q: What is the difference between packing cubes, compression cubes and vacuum bags?

A: Packing cubes are lightweight fabric containers designed for organisation, they do not significantly reduce volume. Compression cubes offer moderate space savings, but they are not designed for maximum compression and they are not waterproof. Vacuum travel packing bags like Jaspacks are built specifically to reduce volume, they are also waterproof and odour proof. Q: Which vacuum bag size is best for carry-on luggage?

A: You can easily fit one large and two small Jaspacks bags in most carry-on suitcases. Depending on the size of your luggage and how much you pack in each bag, you may be able to fit even more. 

 

Q: How should I clean and store my Jaspacks bags?

A: Hand wash your Jaspacks bags using mild soap and lukewarm water. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, as heat and agitation can damage the zipper, seal and valve. Allow the bags to air-dry completely before storing them, and keep them away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.


Q: How many items can fit in a Jaspacks bag?

A: It depends on the size and volume of the items you pack. As a general guide, a small Jaspacks bag can hold 10+ clothing items, while a large bag can hold 15+. Avoid overfilling, as this can put pressure on the zipper and prevent the bag from sealing properly.
